How It Works
After you sign up (a very quick process), you’ll list your first “gig” – this is what product and service offerings are called on Fiverr. If you have a specific skill that you want to capitalize on, you can do that – or, if you’re stumped for what to do, you can browse the current listings and see what grabs your interest. Fiverr keeps $1 from each gig as their fee, so keep that in mind when you’re figuring out what you are willing to do for four dollars. As you gain more experience in the community, you will be able to list gigs for more than five dollars, but at first, that is your limit.
What You’ll Need
The only thing you really need is a Fiverr account – anything else depends on what you’re offering. If you’re doing voiceovers, answering machine messages, or anything voice-related, you’ll want to make sure you have a good-quality microphone and some audio editing software. If you’re offering artistic services, you’ll need your art supplies, or digital drawing software.
